Secret Garden ...A
Guided Meditation Designed to be read
to yourself and to help in expansion of the self...Use your imagination to
visualise a secret sanctuary where you can heal yourself.
In a quiet place, sit
where you will be comfortable and not disturbed. If you can, have your feet
flat on the floor. Arrange yourself so that your limbs are comfortable, legs
and arms soft, hands soft, ankles soft. Visualise cords extending from the bottom
of your feet down gently through the earth, down to the centre of the earth.
Imagine a slight feeling as the cords make contact with the heart of the earth
as you consciously ground yourself and are now supported by the earth. Where
you are sitting, the chair, sofa or ground is supporting you fully, you lean into that place as it takes your
weight. You are resting and comfortable. Take some deep breaths and then allow
your breathing to come to its own pattern.
Ask for a white ray
of light to surround you and light your way. Intend that you will not connect
with anything that is not for your higher good on this journey. If any worries
or troubles pop into your head, visualise that they are placed, like stones in
a basket, covered with a healing cloth and protected. Place this basket out the
way for now, you will come back to it later.
Continue breathing in
a comfortable pattern and adjust any part of you that needs adjusting. Draw
your attention to the breath as it flows into and out of your body. If thoughts
bubble up that distract you, place them in a bubble and blow them away, if they
are important they will come back to you after the meditation.
Be aware of your
body's physical boundaries, and then of the energy field that extends from you,
this may take practice. Intend that
these boundaries and energies are all in place, intact and healthy. Hold
the intention that you are filling this energyfield with love and light and
allow yourself to just float in this space.

After a while, a time
defined by yourself, allow yourself to feel the touch of soft grass under your
feet. Allow yourself to feel a warm breeze against your skin. Allow yourself to
smell meadow grasses, or wet cut grass or any flower or tree that tells you
that you are in a garden.
Create the space that
evokes a healing sanctuary for you: a garden with high meadow grasses that you
can walk through; an mystical garden
with wise and ancient trees; a garden that has different shrubs and herbs, each
containing leaves fruits, and flowers that are medicinal in nature; A garden of
eden with exotic coloured flowers and a light tropical mist that greets and
refreshes you. You can walk freely here, there is nothing that will limit you,
it is your creation. Sunlit or shaded, open to the world, or closed off and
intimate. You may enjoy a sheltered walled garden where ivy climbs along walls
aged with time. The garden may be filled with the colourful orbs of roses,
bursting with reds, magentas, oranges and purples. You may be seated on a
wooden bench or treading softly on a sun warmed cobbled path through flowers.
You may hear water playing in a brook that runs through your garden or, water
creating music as it falls from a frountain. You may clear a clean uncluttered
space and place in it only a Japanese feature, a Buddha statue, or some
soft round stones. Whatever will make
you feel at peace, it is your hearts desire. Take your time and play
with your imagination.
When you are happy
with your garden walk through it, embracing the love it is filled with. Breath
in the scents, acknowledge the sounds of
birdsongs, or the hum of summer
insects or listen to the space within the silence. Touch the leaves, feel the
grass, look up at the sky and wander through the place you have created. When
you are ready, take a seat, on a garden chair, on a wooden bench, or on the
soft grass by a babbling brook, anywhere you choose will be the
right place. You are still as you relax into this beautiful creation. You
breath in the beauty that you have created. You breath in the peace and grace
of this place.
This place is filled
with the serenity and love that you need at this moment. Allow the energy of
serenity and love to merge with your own energy. This vibrant, warm, energy
flows to you as your own energy yields to
it. It washes through you in warm waves that nourishes you mentally, physically,
emotionally and spiritually. Allow yourself to bathe in this love and light
healing energy. Take as much time as you need for this. Just allow the healing
to occur. Allow grace, allow peace, allow joy, allow abundance to flow toward
you.
******************************************************************************************************
When you are ready,
ease yourself up from the place in your that you chose to sit. Hold your
hands together and bow your head in thanks.
Gratitude and joy for your healing ensures that healing will continue as
you ask for it.
Come to the place where you were when you began to create your
garden. Look at your creation and be pleased. Give thanks for your garden and
intend that you may return to it when you wish to experience empowerment,
healing and grace.
Before you leave this
place, your glance falls on the basket containing your worries. You go to the basket and gently pull back the
cloth. You are surprised to see each worry stone has transformed into a
butterfly. The butterflies, with wings of purple, violet, blue and green, raise
up and out of the basket, they scatter and fly up into the sky. You are pleased as you trust your worries are
being transformed.
*************************************************************************
When ready, place your
focus back to your feet and where they touch the ground. Coming back to this
physical reality, adjust your breathing to deeper in breaths, as it may have
become quite shallow. Feel the ground under your feet. Give thanks and
acknowledgement to the earth for supporting and connecting with you.
Gently come back
fully and stretch. Intend that the healing energy stays with you as you go
through your day. Allow peace to come to you when you are in need of it.
