Ireland: Loughcrew, the Passage tombs of ancient people. Ireland is full of beauty, and sadness, ancient stories where myth and history blend into memories.

Part of my journey home involved a trip to Loughcrew, a neolithic burial site, cairns of stones built on hilltops for what is thought to be sacred rituals and burial for prominent people of the time. In this case we are talking 3000 BC. Before the Stonehenge thing was going on. Historically they were called new stone age people, who left the sites and went into hiding when the Celts arrived, but in ancient tales they were a beautiful race of ethereal people, who came to be known as the Faerie folk, whom went underground when the Celts arrived.
