"Social and psychological stressors affect not only the immune system, but also the bacterial composition of the gut, favoring the growth of species that promote inflammation.[v] These inflammatory species have a direct connection with the brain via the neurotransmitters they produce and the vagus nerve receptors in the gut.[vi] The vagus nerve seems to be capable of differentiating between harmless and potentially harmful bacteria, even when there is no inflammation, and vagal pathways can send signals to the brain that can induce either anxiety-producing or calming effects."

Ok.  Its back to the body, because its time to get clear on 'what' is doing what, and where and why...

So first I want to muse on some spiritual information coming to me. It may not be your truth, but truth comes and goes, as we look at things differently.

It came to me earlier about gut bacteria,-
We are hosting our own population of creatures in our very own Gutsvilles i.e  towns and cities along the perilous intestines, that help or hinder the Life metabolisms in the body....BUT they are also very influential in the way the 'mind/body' votes...i.e a harmful population leads to majority votes for depression,  bad health, inflammation etc, and Gutsville goes down in a spiral of negativity. Its like those old western films, where the baddies take over the town and shoot down all the goodies and the town becomes a scary place devoid of law and order.

So your personal Gutsville is long ago primed, it has learned how to react to stressors and so  the body 'catches' and 'deals' with these stressors, usually by throwing them into the already raging pit of inflammation, as the Gutsville gets raized to the ground by the baddies, again, and again.

Now, to have an addiction explains that you also have a set of stressors that completely floor you, and the stress pathway, that you run to,  is so full of stress traffic, that there seems no other pathway for incoming 'stimuli' to go down. It could be also be an inherited or a 'familial' or 'cultural' behaviour pattern. Either way there it is, the ENVIRONMENT is set up, by bad bacteria to keep receiving and experiencing ALL stimuli as STRESSORS, whether they are or not. The downwards spiral means 'stress' acts to keep you reproducing the same old, same old,  affects and effects on mind and body.

In this situation, the negativity and low, and lowering vibratory energy, means that ONLY Negativity is absolutely supported..... SO nothing here is in place to support an increase in vibratory energy to improved and improving, health and mind/body metabolism and life experiences.

So your personal Gutsville is long ago primed, it has learned how to react to stressors and so  the body 'catches' and 'deals' with these stressors, usually by throwing them into the already raging pit of inflammation, as the Gutsville gets raized to the ground by the baddies, again, and again.

Addiction is how you keep a 'low vibratory' lid on the simmering cauldron of whats happening down there and up there, along the gut-brain axis.

This is where the ego comes in, ego has been driving your vehicle, like a learner driver, with no insurance, and the funny thing is that ego knows this, ego knows that everything is all too big for it, Ego knows that something lkarge part is missing, that knows whats going and ego is missing this large part, while driving your vehicle, badly and feeling scared, No support anywhere and look what will happen when i get old. I'll be lft to die .... Ego has been alone for soooo long, it talks to itself, it creates its own reality, sometimes driving itself mad...and it this is symbiotic union with gut health that drives the state of your gut haelth.

The state of your Gutsville, shows up how, if ego has created population of die hard baddies, in other words they are the physical representation of the  demons that scare us in our dreams and the monsters that keep us from sleep.

The stomach is the means of alchemy,  and determines HOW LIFE IS alchemised by you, the stomach is also the fire pit (strong acidic environment), we use our power (alchemised in the solar plexus, where solar means sun/fire plexus) to externalise a great life or turn it in on ourselves creating inner havoc, In which case we burn everything up in our own demise through ego's judgement of self,  fear and loathing, and so creating the demons that live in us and are the causal vote on the negativity or positivity of our mind/body life in 3d.

This brings you your hell on earth.

So getting back to the gut, if we don't get our fears in check, they will quite literally ruin us. There really is no point going to detox or rehab at this point,  because if the 'fear conditioning' of the ego is still predominantly negative,
than the inner environment is NOT supportive of good bacteria and it is NOT supportive of striving for an inner environment that wants to spiral up higher vibration energy pathways......
.......so good alchemy gets swallowed up by bad,
and low vibration energy rules, inside and paints the conditions of your outer life to match.

Ego needs to find its life affirming partner, the spirit counterpart, the higher self. It was always meant to be that way. Ego can't navigate through this 7 dimensional planet life system alone. IT knows that. So it is scared, and hates itself for being scared, failing, making mistakes etc, etc. Ego  can't see it's spiritual partner, the spirit counterpart that can navigate through all the dimensions of this 7 dimension world.

This spirit partner sees ego, but ego can't see through its distrust and fears, eons old. Ego needs to take the hand of its spiritual counterpart and realise they two become one force of immense great beauty,  able to do and be anything, alchemising lead into gold using the great fire of alchemy, already deep within.

This is the beginning of the new human, it is when we welcome back the larger, more beautiful part of ourselves, and ego can rest, and do what ego does best.

Ego keeps the body from danger, from being damaged, ego is the essence that ensures continuation of the human species. The human species needs to endure and survive because the plan is that the human learns to be one with its spiritual nature, with values shared by its spiritual counterpart, and to do this by desire, in freewill, not forced or subjugated by the spirit.

Why do you suppose that humankind has such a strong sense of survival?

It is part of the plan, to endure for long enough, to survive for long enough to iron out all the free choice options, and to iron out any tendency to willful destruction......to learn that all that glitters is not gold. To give the human enough time to work through the trials and tribulations of life in contrast to perfection and in life without knowing its spiritual counterpart....

......until the human is strong enough and learned enough to willingly get with the plan.

It is about the plan to polish up the human species, from carbon to diamond, we can then be the alchemist turning our life/LIVES from lead to gold.

When we take into ourselves, accept and accommodate, the spiritual counterpart of ourselves, we blend as one divine being,  and when we do that 'present in the physical',  we learn then to navigate all parts of this world.

Until now, ego has had an inkling that there is more, so much more, and ego knows it is NOT equipped to know, see or navigate all the dimensions that make up this world. So ego remained small and scared, fearful of what ego cannot see.  So ego made up stories and created bubbles of realities that were just as small and scared as ego.

Ego must rest, drop its fear and let 'its human' evolve, by blending in love with its spiritual counterpart, the part that can see and navigate through all.

Where is this counterpart? We come back to trust, it is a part of you in the dimensional self that perhaps you cannot yet see. We get glimpses of being one with it while we raise our personal vibratory energy, but it is always with you. Where are you looking? and what are you looking at?

If you are looking in the fridge, or at your phone, you can't see it.

When you look at it, it is right there, you just have to tune in to believe it. It takes time, but keep calling it in, keep calling, in hope and in fear, always call it to you...IT IS YOU waiting for you to see it.

Its a two pronged attack.

Consciously work to heal the inner, the body, reduce the stress, the fears, the depression, cut out the waffle and chaff, stop being called off-course, bit by bit, allow your own spiritual counterpart in because they are waiting for you ......find a way to do this, find your own unique way.
This brings you, your heaven on earth.

Someones knocking at the door...

The Gut, the Brain and Addiction

Who Knew We Had Three Brains?

The gut has its own independent nervous system, known as the enteric nervous system, that consists of about 500 million neurons. This system is embedded in the lining of the gastrointestinal tract, beginning at the esophagus and ending at the anus. Amazingly, the enteric nervous system can operate independently from the brain – it can function without it, and has been dubbed our “second brain”. It has a two way communication with the brain and central nervous system via the parasympathetic fibers of the vagus nerve and the sympathetic fibers of the prevertebral ganglia. This channel is known as the gut-brain axis, and links the emotional and cognitive centres of the brain with intestinal function, and vice-versa.
The gut-brain axis is modulated by neurotransmitters, hormones, immune system cytokines, as well as the organisms present in the intestines, what you eat, and the overall health of the gut. The enteric nervous system affects what happens in the rest of the body, including the brain. It contributes to our level of anxiety, appetite, satiety, our mood, emotions, learning, memory and overall inflammation. All of these factors play a role in mental health and susceptibility to addiction. If there is infection or inflammation in the gut, the brain will get the message, and may react with symptoms of anxiety, depression or other mental illness.
The enteric nervous system makes use of 30 different neurotransmitters, including acetylcholine (memory), dopamine (motivation) and serotonin (happiness). More than 90% of the body’s serotonin and 50% of its dopamine are synthesized in the gut, regulated by the gut flora.
And what is the third brain, you ask? The heart – it has over over 40,000 neurons that can work independently from the brain, giving it the ability to sense, process information, make decisions, and demonstrate a type of learning and memory. It secretes several hormones, including oxytocin, known as the love or “bonding” hormone.

Gut Health and Relapse in Alcoholics

Research suggests that bacteria in the gut may play a role in alcohol addiction and the likelihood of relapse after rehab. Alcohol addiction is often associated with an imbalance in the intestinal flora. One study found that 26 out of 60 alcoholics suffered from leaky gut syndrome and had a low amount of a specific intestinal bacteria, Faecalibacterium prausnitzii, which has anti-inflammatory properties. Leaky gut syndrome is linked to inflammation of the gut and diseases like Crohn’s disease, food allergies, asthma and arthritis. After 19 days without alcohol the 26 alcoholics with leaky gut still scored high on tests that measured depression, anxiety, and alcohol cravings.
In contrast, the remaining 34 subjects with normal gut flora recovered faster, measuring lower on the same tests. Their scores decreased to levels comparable with a control group who didn’t have a drinking problem.[i]
Chronic alcohol ingestion also increases the risk of colon cancer, as bacteria in the colon and rectum convert ethanol to acetaldehyde, which is a carcinogen.

Mental Illness and Gut Dysbiosis

Mental illness such as bipolar, depression, anxiety, and psychotic disorders are not only caused by trauma, physical or emotional stress, nutritional deficit, infection, hormonal imbalance and/or genetic susceptibility, but can be inflammatory conditions related to the function of the immune system and the health of the gut.[ii] [iii] [iv] Over 500 species of bacteria comprise the gut microbiome, consisting of about 100 trillion organisms.
Social and psychological stressors affect not only the immune system, but also the bacterial composition of the gut, favoring the growth of species that promote inflammation.[v] These inflammatory species have a direct connection with the brain via the neurotransmitters they produce and the vagus nerve receptors in the gut.[vi]  The vagus nerve seems to be capable of differentiating between harmless and potentially harmful bacteria, even when there is no inflammation, and vagal pathways can send signals to the brain that can induce either anxiety-producing or calming effects.

Probiotics to the Rescue

Probiotics such as Lactobacillus and Bifidobacteria are anti-inflammatory, and can downplay the damaging immune and stress response caused by unfavourable bacteria or life events. Demonstrations in both animal and human studies have shown that the administration of beneficial bacteria can reduce both inflammation and anxiety or behavioral signs of distress. [vii] [viii] [ix] They can be considered as bacterial anti-depressants.
One small study demonstrated that infants who were supplemented with probiotics had a much lower rate of ADHD or autistic spectrum disorder when they grew up to be young teenagers, compared to a control group who were not given probiotics as infants.[x]
Another study found that depressed individuals had a higher population of Bacteroidales species in the gut.[xi]
The study of the relationship between gut bacteria, mental health and addiction is still in its infancy. We do know however, that many people suffering from anxiety, depression and addiction have disordered gut flora and can benefit from taking a probiotic containing various strains of Lactobacillus and Bifidobacteria.
