Tibetan prayer Flags.

Following on from the previous post, my own experience of Zero point, well, a small back garden moment of it.

Hanging up the washing yesterday, I was reminded of Tibetan Prayer flags. The colours and stories of the flags are wonderful. About two years ago we hung Tibetan prayer flags around the garden and created some of  our own, with more personal prayers written onto squares of fabric. They stayed up for summer and then came down in the spring.

The colours of the washing blowing in the breeze became a prayer for the day.

Tibetan prayer flags, in mass, are beautiful, maybe Google some images to see the amazing sights. They release prayers to the winds and then are taken to God. Over years they become unravelled and tattered fragments blowing in the wind.

If you decide to either make your own or buy some, they add a beautiful essence of blessing to your garden.  Even if you do not have a garden, hang them from a balcony or between windows. Then at a time, significant to yourself, when they are reduced to fragments of material, take them down and burn them in a self styled ritual and blessing.

Life at the moment is strange: still, quiet, contemplative, but stirring with awakening. Do simple things and if you can, step softly into each moment.

Hanging up the washing, on a warm day, such that we haven't had in a while, I was moved to observe what I was doing and touch the moment.

There is a prayer and a blessing in each thing that we open up to. Even if the prayer is as simple as willing the day to  stay beautiful and dry.

Reach into the moment and see the ' Now' expand into greater dimensions, much greater than you were present to before.
