And now we have rain...Summer Boot Camp.

After the dark clouds on the evening of the 27th July full moon Lunar eclipse, which meant that where I live in greater London we could not see the eclipse. The dark black and granite clouds took over the entire sky.

The next morning, Saturday and post lunar eclipse, had a clean 'after-storm' feel to it. But there had been no storm, and so there was an eerie quality to the air.

Throughout the afternoon there were blows of strong summer winds, with threats of rain.

Early evening gave a yellow hue to the silver sky and this backdrop made everything in the streets including the trees stand out as dark green-black silhouettes.

Finally it was the dark of night that brought the threatening rain.

This morning, Sunday, it continues to rain. A blanket of  'whitish-grey silver' cloud has replaced the summer skies and the rain acts as a flag that brings halt to the summer festivals... and a chance to rest.

No washing to dry on the lines for today, there is a breather,  a chance to hover over the 'zoom in' button to see what may have been overlooked in the last few weeks of amazing heat.

What has been cooking, bubbling up and boiling away?  Sweat streaming down, and evaporating from bodies has been releasing, but what? What are we missing? Can we even tell? Can we even remember? Will we even miss it?

What have we surrendered and let go of?

Michaela.
