Beard Sunday, 18 July, 2021 (posted 19 July, 2021) 7/20 ~ Mercury (acumen) ~sextile~ Uranus (the Awakener): This energy says, it’s time to go with the flow – “new and different” being the flow. It wants to shake it up a bit – in a good way. However, if you feel like new and different is more like chaos and disruption, then you need to reflect and see if you aren’t being too rigid. Unwillingness to go with the (new) flow will make this energy harder to handle. This is also a good time to try to resolve any old issues or challenges – they are not going away without resolution and conscious release. Perhaps you’ve been trying the same thing over and over and it’s time to try something NEW – now is the time that new ideas can & will come to you. Pay attention! Try to be open and receptive to unusual things, events or ideas and allow room for spontaneity. You may think you are doing one thing and look up and being doing something completely different – be open to exploring the new path! 7/21 ~ Venus Enters Virgo (until Aug 16th): Venus (values, priorities, resources, love, art, beauty, culture) in Virgo (earthy wisdom, systems for living & natural timing) is a time to focus on healing the mind/body connection and perfecting the Spirit-in-Human-form. The current values & priorities should focus on how well your own systems for living are serving you and where you need to simplify your life in order to be more effective. As Virgo precedes the Libra focus of relationships and the response of others (to you), I recommend you keep the focus on you this month, and focus on what your mind, body & spirit can actually handle & manage on a day-to-day basis. It’s time to release the nonessential, extraneous or redundant and make room for more quality nutrient, inner clarity & self-discipline. It is a celebratory energy, to be enjoyed but not to excess or to the neglect of your health or well-being. It’s very creative and activates the true Inner Artist within all of us. It’s also good to consider that you are at a MidPoint in a relationship or creative project that you started about 6-months ago; is it still viable? is the Story you’re telling still true? where’s the value? is it worth it? So whether you are an artist or not, this activation can facilitate an infinitely creative mood and expand your individual work immensely. Activate your imagination, think big, have fun & laugh today, but tomorrow, plan to start moving in a new direction that is more authentic for you personally. 7/23 ~ Full Moon in AQUARIUS (1 of 2): It’s good to know the Houses in your chart being affected as those will represent the Areas of Life being affected (reach out if you need help figuring out what that is for you). So this Full Moon asks: What have you become “too” attached to? And/or what have you become “too” detached from (and need to reconnect)? We have spent recent months navigating the Mutable energy of thought & ideas (Gemini), along with the Cardinal energy of action & choices (Cancer), whose theme continues but now the energy has become decidedly Fixed and it is time to anchor something in your life and in your Heart (Leo). What ideas have you gotten going that need some tending to make stronger & more viable? This lunation may illuminate or activate revelations of when, where and with whom (mostly Self) you have not been completely (if at all) authentic. Start with the *motivations* ~ if & when they are pure, clean & neutral, then being authentic becomes less challenging. But when you are not authentic, things become more challenging. Now more than ever, we must be congruent with our Inner & Outer Natures in order to thrive, prosper & evolve. This is the lunation to align your Head & Heart. This is also a very special lunation, in that we are experiencing what I call the Lunar Flip, which happens every 18-months. It also alternates between a double-dose of New Beginnings or Endings. This year, we have a double-dose of Ending-Energy with two Aquarius Full Moons, back-to-back, July 23rd and Aug 22nd. This first one is at the early degrees of Aquarius and the second one will be at the late degrees so we’re all going to be affected one way or another, and very likely in two different Houses (Areas of Life). Most of us are releasing from one Area of Life with this first one and will be releasing something completely different after we’ve been through the Initiation of the Leo New Moon (8/8). We are re-setting our rhythm of creation – the life creation that we do on a regular, daily basis. The Moon rules this daily rhythm and for the last 18-months we have been clearing with the Full Moon first, then Initiating clean at the New Moon. Now, that shifts and the New Moon will ask that we Initiate and walk by faith to the Full Moon, which will likely illuminate something useful for our New Beginnings but that we did not know because we are stepping into new territory in so many ways.
