Functioning on the totally Personality-centered Level – AQUARIUS’ sense of personal self is not well anchored at this level. Because the personality center is weak and lacking in self-consciousness, AQUARIUS attracts a myriad of life experiences. The weak personality is unable to discriminate and prioritize the importance of these experiences; therefore, AQUARIUS will tend to be very indiscriminate in choosing friends and life goals. This level AQUARIUS is the “air-head”; there is no profound personality center. There is the tendency to “throw himself away,” to diffuse what little coherence that exists. AQUARIUS may consistently “make something out of nothing,” thereby inventing needless complications within relationships. In order to achieve true equanimity in relationships, AQUARIUS must go through the painful stage of making, then losing relationships. AQUARIUS, at this level, tries to be all things to all people, often exhausting himself in the process. At this level, AQUARIUS may join indiscriminately those cults or sects where group identification takes the place of individualization. AQUARIUS likes to represent something; to stand for a certain set of values. However, AQUARIUS may choose to merge into an unconscious mass led by equally blind Leo-type personalities. Whereas Leo, on the personality level, seeks to have the universe revolve around him, AQUARIUS, on this level, will attempt to rid himself of all fragments of an individualized self. At such an unconscious level, AQUARIUS can experience some very difficult circumstances.
Awakening to the Soul-Personality Relationship – at this stage formerly egocentric AQUARIUS, who used society for his benefit, is now to reorient self into the humanitarian who lives his life to benefit others. AQUARIUS can now use his natural networking with others to establish some greater, unifying principle. The lower and Higher selves are in communication; AQUARIUS’ urge to make a mark on society through his creative efforts is modified by the need to benefit society as he does so. This outpouring of creative self-expression helps to synthesize the personality into a cohesive unit. As AQUARIUS becomes psychologically self-confident, he may then creatively self-actualize by bringing the innovative qualities of AQUARIUS to the forefront. This is the level of social progressives and revolutionaries, the AQUARIUS who serves a cause. AQUARIUS feels a tremendous need to bring about freedom and equality in all human life.
Soul-centered Individual – “the more individualized our consciousness, the more universal. The greater our connection with our Self, the greater is our vision of the One that is the Self.” The expanded awareness found at this level leads AQUARIUS into Service to Humanity and to the furtherance of New Age principles in some individualized, though group-oriented, manner. AQUARIUS is now the World Server whose vision is planetary and who is in intuitive alignment with the Divine Plan. Working with his group of World Servers, AQUARIUS will now move forward in anchoring the seeds of New Age Thought into the conscious awareness of humanity. AQUARIUS now gives birth to new archetypes, suitable for the New Aquarian Age. At the soul-centered level, AQUARIUS is the training ground for the transformers of humanity.
