PLUTO GOES RETROGRADE just after midnight tonight, at 12:25am PDT Monday (7:25am GMT). When a planet comes to a standstill in order to change directions, we usually feel its influence more deeply for several days before and after the date of the change. With Pluto's influence strong now, we are aware of certain aspects of our lives that are not within our control. We are also deeply engaged in a process of release that is clearing the space in our lives for something new to be born.
It seems to be part of our culture to fear endings in general, and to fear death specifically. But we must remember that while Pluto may take us through difficult experiences, its intention is that -- like the Phoenix -- we will ultimately rise from the ashes of what has been and experience a rebirth.
VENUS RIDES a rollercoaster this week. As the goddess of love, when Venus is supported by other planets as she is on Monday, we are also assisted in relating well to others. When Venus is challenged by another planet as she is on Tuesday, relationship issues that need to be resolved usually come into our awareness.
At the other end of the week, Venus has a rendezvous with unpredictable Uranus on Friday, a union that inspires us to break free from restrictive relationships so that we can more fully express the truth of who we are. Then, on Sunday, Venus and Mars are at odds, indicating that internally or externally, the feminine and masculine are not seeing eye to eye.
THE FULL MOON on Thursday at 10:23pm PDT (5:23am GMT on Friday) is arguably the most important astrological event this week. Events around this Full Moon in Scorpio relate back to the very energized New Moon that occurred back on April 7.
We began a process at that New Moon that was meant to reinvent our lives. Now, with the lunar cycle coming into fullness, it is our opportunity to see where we are in that process. We may choose to proceed in the direction we've been going -- but this is also an opportune time for reassessing and changing our trajectory.
Mercury is in harmonious aspect with the North Node on the same day as the Full Moon. This means we will want to be open to new ideas that can direct us with more certainty on our soul's path of growth. Mercury is in Taurus now, supporting us in simplifying our lives, and creating conditions that can be sustained over time.
In peace,
Pam
