(12 min segment) This radio segment highlights some of the dangers and why you need to OPT OUT of 'smart' meters and/or send a Notice of Liability. On Saturday, September 26, a Duke Energy customer named Debbie called the "At Home with Gary Sullivan" radio show to report serious electrical and health issues that started after the utility installed a new smart meter on the home she shares with her husband, a disabled Vietnam veteran. They now seem to be living mostly on their back porch because of the new meter. Duke Energy has told them that they can opt out of the Itron smart meter by accepting a different digital meter. She has consulted with an expert who has told her that the replacement meter may not solve all their problems. A whole-home dirty electricity filter such as the SineTamer, which I personally use and will be sharing more about soon, is among the top recommended mitigation solutions to support health and lower utility bills.
