I like the image of a RED dragon, surfing Hokusai's wave. It is in the wave, it is moving through it, In the flow with life, things just are, it just is. Blood dragon is doing it's thing.

But here we have a grey cloudy smoke dragon of Grief.  (Picture, Hokusai's dragon)

Dragon and clouds, Katsushika Hokusai

and the dragon of smoke escaping from Mount Fuji.

Where grey smoke dragon is the grief held by people, towns and communities, collective sadness as a response to death all around, your own death, but also as a deep hidden response to what had to be endured...held in the collective memories of cities and nations.

When grief fills you, you cannot live. When grief fills your lungs (TCM) your blood (red dragon) cannot get the oxygen from them. The white dragon (oxygen/spirit) cannot embrace the blood and oxygenate it and so the alchemy of the life force cannot be delivered..

Grief makes you a dead man walking.
You cannot receive life because you are already filled with death.

A person can only hold on to this stuff for so long before it all has to....

transition into Silver dragon and alchemy of life is restored.

The silver lining to every cloud. It just is, eventually.
