.....Getting to when there is enough of us saying no to digital ID......to download and sign the pledge yourself, https://togetherdeclaration.org/pledge/ XXXX (even if it is to have a signed declaration for yourself...to have a momento of your intention, from the days leading up to.... WHEN the NOs are enough) Michaela.

I was at this march on 25th April 2026. "The Pledge isn’t just a signal of belief, but a considered statement about future behaviour. As we said last time, as part of the successful campaign against Blair's original ID cards, a similar Pledge was downloaded for printing and signing over one million times. When an action like this is shared, visible and repeated by many people, it becomes much harder to dismiss - and harder to rely on assumed compliance." XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Tue 5 May at 18:54
This is what The Pledge against Digital ID looks like In Saturday's email, we introduced the idea of The Pledge. But what does it actually look like in practice? On 25 April, at our Trafalgar Square rally, we had a chance to find out. There was a simple, symbolic moment - a live signing, in front of the crowd. It’s worth watching closely: [Alternate links: YouTube - Rumble] That moment, near the end of the afternoon, was not just symbolic. Around it, something practical was beginning... We had printed copies of The Pledge available for people to take away. And they began taking them, reading them, and in some cases signing there and then. Within minutes, there were already lots of signed copies in people’s hands! Why this matters When you look at both of those - the video and the photo - notice what’s different. This isn’t just clicking a button, adding a name to a list, or expressing a general view. It’s more deliberate than that. It’s important that The Pledge is physically signed, as this reflects a clear and deliberate decision. The commitment is clear. The act itself becomes something tangible. It isn't just that opinion has changed - but behaviour. If you think about it, many campaigns follow a familiar path. People become aware. They decide they agree! But, too often, things peter out there. Whereas, the Pledge gives people a way to decide, clearly and in advance, what they will actually do. And when that decision is made by many people, in a shared way, it begins to change the overall dynamic. Now, you may be wondering whether something like this really makes a difference. After all, people have signed things before. The difference here is in the nature of the commitment. The Pledge isn’t just a signal of belief, but a considered statement about future behaviour. As we said last time, as part of the successful campaign against Blair's original ID cards, a similar Pledge was downloaded for printing and signing over one million times. When an action like this is shared, visible and repeated by many people, it becomes much harder to dismiss - and harder to rely on assumed compliance. Where we go next What you’ve seen here was just the first step. Please look out for our email on Friday, when we’ll show you how you can take part yourself - in a way that’s simple, clear, and entirely your choice. https://togetherdeclaration.org/pledge XXXX For now, consider: What changes when people don’t just hold an opinion… …but make a clear commitment about how they will act?
