Tuatha Dé Danann. A civilisation long before the celts appeared. and quite possibly from the origins of the angelic humans.

Before the Celts There Were the Tuatha Dé Danann ☘️ If you have Irish ancestry and you have always felt that the mythology of your bloodline was not quite mythology, that the old stories carried something heavier than legend, something that felt more like memory than invention, you may be closer to the truth than you know. Before the Celts arrived in Ireland there was already a people there. The ancient Irish called them the Tuatha Dé Danann (TOO-ah-ha day DAN-an). The tribe of the goddess Danu. The texts describe them as tall, fair, and possessed of knowledge so advanced that the people who came after them could only explain it as supernatural. They built the passage tombs. They mapped the stars. They understood mathematics and astronomy at a level that should not have been possible for the time. Researchers studying the pre-Celtic population of Ireland now believe the Tuatha Dé Danann were not myth. They were the Neolithic people who arrived on the Atlantic fringe of Europe more than five thousand years ago and built Newgrange, a monument aligned with the winter solstice sunrise with an astronomical precision that took modern engineers centuries to fully understand. When the Celts arrived the Tuatha Dé Danann did not disappear. According to the ancient texts they went underground. Into the hills. Into the síde, the fairy mounds, the passage tombs they had built for themselves. Into the bloodline of every Irish person who came after them. You are not just Celtic. You are older than Celtic. And the oldest part of you has always known it. Tag someone who has always felt the weight of something ancient in their Irish blood, and follow The Irish Remembered. ☘️ #IrishAmerican #Ireland #IrishAncestry #FamilyHistory #IrishHistory See less
