Tania Gabrielle: Venus conjuncts Jupiter! Abundance, Love + Happinessby ForeverUnlimited |
Jupiter in Taurus
The planet Jupiter symbolizes expansion, broadness and generosity. Jupiter is associated with the functions of synthesis, enthusiasm and optimism. In your natal chart, his house position is more important than his sign position because, like Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, he is a slow planet. Many people born in the same period have Jupiter in the same sign. This is the reason why the sign occupied here is less meaningful than when it is occupied by the so-called fast planets, i.e. the Sun, the Moon, Mercury, Venus and Mars. Therefore, some caution is to be exercised as you read what follows. Jupiter in Taurus amplifies your practical sense and your capacity to improve your material life. You can experience a long-lasting fulfilment. You are often a bon viveur who likes life’s good things. You manage and develop your patrimony with a lot of luck and generosity. Your taste is very good and your loyalty is genuine.
Jupiter in House XI
Jupiter is in the 11th House. You have a knack for making friends. You do not hesitate to show your generosity, and you receive affection and esteem in return. Thus, some opportunities may arise as a consequence of a contact or a friendly support. You think that you can rely on the members of your entourage. If, at times, you are disappointed by events, you still keep on believing in the virtues of fraternal relationships.
Jupiter Dominant
If Jupiter is part of your natal chart's planetary dominants, in astrology, you are said to be a Jupiterian: because this planet brings about a keen interest in social and professional success, the Tradition considers it to be beneficial. Indeed, you know how to adjust to events and to jump at the chance when it arises. The members of your entourage gladly entrust you with high responsibilities because they are often impressed by your learning skills and your adaptation abilities as you deal with new structures and new languages. What is the secret of your good star? It is your self-confidence which wins public support. Now, what is the secret of your charm? Definitely, enthusiasm, euphoria, and exaltation. Exaggeration also. When this dominant is well integrated, it is a factor of affluence and optimism, and a certain degree of joviality enables you to easily fit into various spheres. It constitutes your main asset to manage your life. However, you must at times curb your desire for integration, lest your sense of opportunity turns into extreme opportunism. Here also, the key to success lies in a correct estimate of everyone's chances and possibilities. Although management is one of your forte, and you can adjust your objectives to current realities better than other people, you lack the hindsight which enables you to avoid short-term vagaries and daily fluctuations. If you strive too much to adapt, you run a risk of betraying yourself. This is the other traditional side of the coin with "The Greater Benefic"!
Interpretation of the 16° Taurus symbolic degree
"Amid a barren landscape, a man swims against the current of a river, while on the bank, a bull tied to a tree strives to free itself." (Janduz version)
Superficial, stubborn, and clumsy character prone to misjudgements. Hard work and relentless efforts yield little profit because one fails to understand the forces in action and pursues unrealistic goals. However, if the natal chart concurs, this degree describes an outstanding figure, totally impervious to criticism and unpopularity, who persistently struggles against entrenched routine with a view to improving the fate of people. Although he cannot achieve his noble objectives, and may end up in exile or in prison, he sows invaluable seeds, and with time, his ideals turn into well-accepted standards.
N.B.: symbolic degrees belong to a branch of fatalistic astrology. Their interpretation must be regarded with the utmost caution, especially given the fact that different authors give different meanings to symbolic degrees. This is the reason why they are not included in our Astrotheme reports.
THE ELEVENTH HOUSE: THE HOUSE OF FRIENDSHIPS
https://www.astrology.com/astrology-101/houses/eleventh-house
The Eleventh House is commonly referred to as the House of Friends. Through our friends, we find strength in numbers — we see the power of the collective, the group. Groups addressed by this house include clubs, organizations, social groups, networking organizations and professional associations. The focus here is on the activities we undertake within these groups, how we make a difference and as a result, how we grow and actualize our true selves. Further, it’s the group, by virtue of its collective strength, which helps to define what we as individuals will do.
As we grow, we have more opportunities and possibilities available to us, and the Eleventh House addresses these. Our interactions and efforts are in keeping with our priorities in life; these interactions have the ability to enhance our lives. A labor of love? Yes, in many ways. Through our friends and group activities we add substance and meaning to our lives and to society.
The Eleventh House also speaks to destiny — in simple terms, our hopes and dreams, what we desire and what we want to achieve. Our creative vision is highlighted, the simple act of working toward our maximal selves. The power of collective creation, as well as the creative sparks generated by the group, are also important to this house. By banding together, we can create so much more.
In joining with our friends, we not only accomplish a great deal, but we can also enjoy the fruits of our labor. The Eleventh House also addresses the kind of friend we are: what do we do for others? How do we view our friends? How do they view us? It is our basic character which, to a great extent, defines the friends and groups we choose.
Oftentimes, we work with our friends toward a greater good and in the hope of improving society. This is our philanthropic side coming to the fore, the ability to selflessly and eagerly help others. It is also our humanity manifesting itself most effectively. At times, we may upset the proverbial apple cart, but the sum total of our efforts should be to look at the end result. If that’s good, then the process of getting there, for better or for worse, is worthwhile. Lastly, the Eleventh House also governs stepchildren, foster children and adopted children.
The Eleventh House is ruled by Aquarius and the planets Saturn and Uranus.
